About the Role:

Asterix Communications is seeking an experienced E-3 AWACS Radar Systems Engineer to join our team as a Technical Lead. As a key member of our Contractor Engineering and Technical Support team, you will provide on-site support to our clients and assist in the resolution of technical issues related to the Surveillance Radar, IFF, and associated support systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide continuous on-site support to our clients, ensuring the smooth operation of the E-3 Surveillance Radar, IFF, and associated support systems.
  2. Assist in the resolution of technical issues related to the Surveillance Radar, IFF, and associated support systems, working closely with our clients and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
  3. Develop and deliver training programs to our clients, including classroom instruction and on-the-job training (OJT) on troubleshooting and repair of the E-3 Surveillance Radar, IFF, and associated support systems.
  4. Participate in the evaluation and design of proposed new systems and equipment, ensuring that design criteria are met.
  5. Review vendor specifications, work statements, and test plans for new or modified Surveillance Radar, IFF, and associated support systems.
  6. Assist our clients in the analysis and identification of correct in-shop practices and procedures to be used during repair actions.
  7. Assist our clients with the tracking of E-3 Surveillance Radar, IFF, and associated support systems components while undergoing repair at NGC or their associated facilities.
  8. Provide engineering assessments and advise our clients on matters affecting aircraft availability and operational readiness.
  9. Evaluate and provide feedback to our clients on Quality Control reports.
  10. Monitor (analyze and record) operational performance of the E-3 Surveillance Radar, IFF, and associated support systems.
  11. Provide reports to our clients, including attending meetings as required.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Radar Engineering, or equivalent.
  2. Twelve (12) years of experience with the E-3 Surveillance Radar, IFF, and associated support systems or similar Northrup-Grumman equipment; or Master's degree and 10 years experience; 4 additional years of related experience will be acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  3. Knowledgeable on the E-3 Surveillance Radar and IFF fault detection troubleshooting and repair.
  4. Must have an advanced course OEM training on the E-3 Surveillance Radar, IFF, and associated support systems.
  5. Ability to develop training syllabuses that include theory of operation, perform classroom instruction, and OJT on troubleshooting/repair of the E-3 Surveillance Radar, IFF, and associated support systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of technical terminologies, tasks, and responsibilities is desirable.
  2. A working knowledge of GOLDesp data acquisition systems is desirable.

Pay Range: $122, $220,900.00

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
