Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our team as a Warehouse Logistics Manager at ABYAT. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics operations, with a primary focus on optimizing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

The role involves developing and implementing logistics strategies, managing inventory, negotiating contracts, and leading a team of logistics professionals. By coordinating transportation, storage, and distribution activities, the Warehouse Logistics Manager plays a vital role in maintaining seamless supply chain operations and meeting customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, track stock levels, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods.
  • Transportation and Logistics: Coordinate transportation, storage, and distribution activities to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure high performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems or complaints related to logistics operations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Metrics and Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Contingency Planning: Develop contingency plans to ensure operations are not affected by unexpected events or disruptions.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that regular housekeeping plans are followed, and bins utilization is optimized to reduce travel time during picking.
  • Expansion Planning: Participate in expansion plans by advising on proper warehouse specifications, racking systems, flooring, and material handling equipment (MHEs).
  • Process Improvement: Develop new put-away strategies to reduce travel time during picking and participate in the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience of at least 3-5 years as a Logistics Manager.
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, with the ability to handle multiple projects independently.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in standard logistics software; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Advanced communication skills; fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.
