Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our team at Fortinet. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in providing subject matter expertise in security, threat intelligence, and C-Suite perspective.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute external engagement strategies, including C-suite engagement, executive briefings, thought leadership, and brand building.
  2. Deliver keynote and plenary speaking engagements to large audiences, focusing on knowledge transfer and empowerment.
  3. Support presales efforts for large revenue opportunities, as well as mentorship and training to sales and marketing teams.
  4. Engage with C-Suite executives in top strategic accounts, acting as a threat intelligence subject matter expert and driving business growth in the region.
  5. Support Global 2000 strategic accounts and interface with FortiGuard Labs to obtain the latest deep dive knowledge on FortiGuard Research & Development.

This position will require a Subject Matter Expert in FortiGuard Labs & Threat Intelligence, with a strong understanding of broad security solutions, including antivirus, intrusion prevention, Web content filtering, and anti-spam capabilities. These services help protect against threats on both application and network layers.

Additional Responsibilities:
  1. The successful candidate will be an excellent speaker, able to articulate technical concepts into appropriate terms for a given target audience.
  2. They will be a technical resource focused on FortiGuard services & technology (primarily AI, Antivirus, IPS, Webfiltering, Antispam) and threat intelligence.
  3. They will also be an expert on threat and SOC solutions, including FortiNDR, Deceptor, Sandbox, EDR/XDR, and ZTNA.
  4. They will scale and train the workforce as a subject matter expert, including FCISO team and SE/CSE community.
  5. Liaison and support strategic relationships for the AMER region, including key threat intelligence vertical ISACs.
  6. Support FortiGuard Threat Outbreak creation and training.
  7. Engage in public speaking, representing Fortinet as a thought leader in the industry.
  8. Work with the marketing group to create leads from existing security alliances and relationships.
  9. Create new content for use in presentations, whitepapers, and so forth.
  10. Deliver executive briefings at EBC and off-site.
  11. Deliver technical presentations, webcasts, and SE/sales knowledge transfer.
  12. Demonstrate FortiGuard security concepts in relation to Fortinet products, most importantly APT and threat intelligence.
  13. Collaborate closely with the sales team and is expected to be able to clearly position Fortinet both from a technical and business perspective against identified competitors.
  14. Subject matter expertise including lab development, reverse engineering/malware analysis, and threat hunting will be part of the role.
Required Skills:
  1. Technical presentation skills translated to a C-level environment are a must; act as a leading industry and subject matter expert.
  2. 10+ years of experience in the industry with similar presentation experience.
  3. Understand malware and sandbox concepts (PE32/64 Windows); ARM/mobile is a bonus.
  4. Understand security vulnerability and exploit lifecycle.
  5. Penetration testing framework (ie: Metasploit) experience is a valuable asset.
  6. Networking concepts are an asset.
  7. Articulate and comfortable presenting to groups; ability to communicate effectively to technical and business leaders.
  8. A clear understanding of competitive landscape and differentiators in regard to APT defense.
  9. Work closely with the SE/CSE community, to ensure the growth of the associated products and accounts in their region.

Location: Preferred Dubai, alternatively Saudi Arabia (covering Middle East).
