As a Guidance and Counseling Specialist at Waad Academy, you will play a vital role in promoting students' academic, social, and emotional growth. You will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school leadership to develop and implement programs that support students' academic and emotional development.

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who can provide individual and group counseling, develop intervention strategies, and support students' emotional and academic well-being. Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Support Programs: Create and implement programs to support students' academic and emotional development, including individual counseling and group therapy.
  • Collaborate with Faculty and Parents: Work closely with teachers and parents to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed academically and emotionally.
  • Evaluate Student Progress: Regularly evaluate student progress and identify areas where additional support is needed, collaborating with the Guidance Committee to develop effective interventions.
  • Provide Career and Health Guidance: Offer career guidance and facilitate participation in school career days, increasing awareness about healthy practices and referring students to appropriate professionals when necessary.
  • Supervise and Coordinate: Supervise student entry into classes, cooperate with teachers and staff, and ensure students' well-being by attending team meetings to discuss student support and improvements.
  • Maintain Communication: Regularly communicate with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and attendance, and follow up on any concerns.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in student counseling, pastoral care, or mental health support within a school setting.
  • Proven experience in providing individual and group counseling, developing intervention strategies, and supporting students' emotional and academic well-being.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and school leadership in addressing student needs.
  • Exceptional communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of child development, safeguarding policies, and mental health frameworks to support student well-being.
