Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Commercial Director to lead our dynamic and diverse Cost Management Team.

The successful candidate will have leadership responsibilities for the cost management discipline, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. They will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cost management, with experience in leading teams and managing complex projects. They will be a strategic thinker, able to develop and implement business plans, and drive growth and innovation within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Cost Management Team and ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
  • Develop and implement business plans to drive growth and innovation within the company.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Manage complex projects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure the delivery of projects within budget and on time.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality services.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities and contribute to the development of business proposals.
  • Collaborate with other business divisions and teams to ensure the delivery of integrated services to clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 18+ years of relevant working experience in the discipline.
  • Degree holder in Quantity Surveying, or related field (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc).
  • RICS qualified (MRICS).
  • FRICS (Beneficial).
  • Proactive, quality driven, self-motivated and hands-on team-leader with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills essential, ability to communicate well with clients and senior management.
  • Experience in leading teams of professionals with a strength in growing and developing people.
