As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of our Open Banking and BaaS platform. This includes ensuring the strategy and development of the platform, as well as providing all necessary requirements for API creation. Additionally, you will be responsible for the performance of all related developed solutions.
Responsibilities:- Define and Lead the Development: Collaborate with internal partners to define and lead the development and delivery of our BaaS and Open Banking product strategy.
- Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership on the future of Open Banking, Open Finance, and Embedded Finance for Bank Albilad and the Saudi market.
- Prioritization: Work closely with functional product team leads to prioritize Open Banking use cases and products.
- Relationship Building: Build and sustain relationships with Open Banking partners, working closely with the DBI partnership and Digital Solutioning teams.
- Business Cases: Monitor and build business cases for new products and services.
- Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a champion and subject matter expert of Open Banking, sharing regional and global knowledge with key stakeholders and acting as the SPOC with SAMA for all activities related to Open Banking and Banking as a Service.
- Market Research: Conduct market research on market players, working closely with Digital Business Engagement Teams.
- Relationship Management: Monitor and sustain external relationships with clients through the relationship teams and Solutioning team, as well as potential partners in Open Banking/BaaS and marketplaces.
- Developer Portal: Monitor the development and foundation of the Bank Albilad Developer Portal and ensure the technology foundation is in place for easy expansion and future business adoption.
- Operational Infrastructure: Work closely with all teams and stakeholders to ensure operational infrastructure is in place to expand the organization and drive future product adoption.
- Industry Representation: Represent Bank Albilad in industry steering committees and client events as the voice of Open Banking, positioning Bank Albilad as a thought leader in the ecosystem.
- Technical Support: Handle 1st-level technical concerns and issues related to the FinTech sandbox and production, as well as provide full support for the developer portal forums via the support team.
- Integration Issues: Monitor and handle all technical integration issues and ensure they are resolved by the IT team via the support team.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business, and 6-10 years of experience in Open Banking, product management, and/or payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Open Banking, product vision, customer centricity, technical fluency, and commercial acumen.
The successful candidate will be a high-energy, motivated leader with the ability to influence across functions to drive projects and key initiatives to completion. They will have previous experience managing a team, problem-solving, and executive presence. Additionally, they will have a deep understanding of agile delivery and DevOps principles, as well as quality software engineering processes and practices.
We are looking for a strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to think strategically and connect the dots to the bigger picture. The ideal candidate will also have a strong grasp of new technologies, competitive landscapes, marketplaces, and regulatory environments.
They will be able to effectively communicate in both business and technical contexts, with a strong understanding of Retail Banking and Wealth Management, corporate banking, and Saudi Arabia banking rules and regulations and governance.
The successful candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented, with pragmatic decision-making skills and the ability to lead and influence. They will also have strong negotiation and relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities.
