Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Module Assembly Supervisor to join our team at Lucy Electric. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly of modules, ensuring high levels of efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Module Assembly Production: Meet production targets and achieve high levels of efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  2. Team Management: Manage and control the assembly line team, ensuring that all HSE, Quality, Inventory, On Time Delivery, and Productivity Requirements are met.
  3. Process Improvement: Continuously improve productivity and quality, and report on production-related KPIs such as Production Efficiency and FPY.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes meet quality standards set by ISO 9001/14001.
  5. Workforce Allocation: Allocate workload to operators on a daily basis, and schedule shifts based on workload and material availability.
  6. BOM Validation: Validate Bills of Materials and report errors to the Contracts Department.
  7. Process Optimization: Coordinate with Production Engineering to optimize process flow for cost cutting and waste reduction.
  8. Total Quality System: Implement a total quality system by deploying correct manufacturing processes.
  9. Cycle Time Reduction: Reduce total cycle time (throughput time).
  10. Training and Development: Impart training to workers on products and technical aspects of products.
  11. Internal Coordination: Coordinate with internal customers/suppliers to meet production targets in time.
  12. 5S Implementation: Ensure that workstations and process flow are laid out to facilitate safe working environments.
  13. Tool Calibration: Ensure that tools/fixtures/templates, measuring instruments are periodically calibrated as applicable.
  14. Cost Reduction: Identify and implement cost reduction measures.
  15. Assembly Problem Solving: Solve assembly problems and train operators for multiple assemblies.
  16. Critical Assembly Inspection: Regularly inspect critical internal assemblies, critical settings, and rework/repair.
  17. Production Consumables Management: Control and stock manage production consumables and WIP.
  18. Line Stoppage Reports: Generate and circulate reports related to line stoppage.
  19. Single Piece Flow: Ensure that single piece flow concept is followed by all operators.
  20. Skill Development: Develop multiple skill development/training and update the training matrix.
  21. Rejection Analysis: Analyze rejection of material due to operator's error.
  22. Daily Production Update: Circulate daily production updates to all internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: Diploma in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering.
  2. Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant skills as detailed above.
  3. Knowledge: Knowledge in ISO standards and Health, Safety standards.
  4. Industry Experience: Experience in assembly plants in a reputed organization, preferably switchgear industry.
