We are seeking an experienced and passionate Advanced Placement (AP) Teacher to join our team at Riyadh Schools. As an AP Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exemplary instruction across one or more Advanced Placement courses. Your primary objective will be to ensure that students are not only academically adept but also well-equipped to meet the rigorous demands of AP exams.

1. Curriculum Development
   • Develop, refine, and enrich the AP curriculum to ensure it is aligned with the latest advancements in the subject area.
   • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the subject area and infuse contemporary content into the curriculum.
   • Craft comprehensive, year-long AP course plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
   • Collaborate seamlessly with departmental colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum.
   • Leverage innovative technology and pedagogical approaches to enhance the learning experience.
2. Instructional Delivery
   • Provide engaging and challenging instruction to students, differentiating instruction to accommodate various learning styles.
   • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to promote student understanding and application of course concepts.
   • Implement project-based learning and incorporate formative assessment techniques to monitor student progress.
   • Promote self-directed learning and facilitate student collaboration to foster a culture of respect and academic excellence.
3. Assessment and Evaluation
   • Implement formative, continuous, and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and inform instructional decisions.
   • Prepare students for AP exams by providing targeted review sessions and study resources.
   • Analyze assessment data to identify trends and areas for improvement, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
   • Support student success through data-driven decision-making and provide individualized feedback and support.
4. Instruction and Classroom Management
   • Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a culture of respect and academic excellence.
   • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and incorporate real-world applications and hands-on activities.
   • Establish clear expectations for behavior and academic performance, consistently reinforcing a positive and respectful classroom culture.
   • Promote student autonomy and responsibility, cultivating effective communication skills and implementing classroom routines and structures.
5. Professional Development
   • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance subject matter expertise and pedagogical skills.
   • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and strategies, engaging in peer observations and professional learning communities.
   • Explore innovative teaching practices and reflect on teaching methods to ensure continuous improvement.
6. Exam Preparation
   • Design and execute a comprehensive AP exam preparation program, providing targeted review sessions and study resources.
   • Facilitate study groups and offer individualized feedback and support to ensure students are well-prepared for AP exams.
   • Analyze AP exam data to identify trends and areas for improvement, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
7. Parent and Stakeholder Communication
   • Conduct regular parent-teacher conferences to keep parents informed of student progress.
   • Provide detailed progress reports and organize informational sessions for parents to promote student success.
   • Facilitate parent workshops on supporting student success and create a communication platform for ongoing updates.

• Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area, with a master's degree and AP certification preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of successful teaching experience, with a focus on AP courses.
• Expertise in and a thorough understanding of College Board AP program requirements.
• State or provincial certification/licensure for teaching at the secondary level.
• Proven success in improving student performance on AP exams.
