Job Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end supplier registration process, ensuring all required documentation and compliance checks are completed within established timelines.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex supplier queries, providing timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to maintain and enhance supplier portals for efficient query tracking and resolution.
  • Monitor the progress of procurement requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) to ensure timely approvals, processing, and issuance, and implement relevant performance metrics.
  • Work closely with suppliers to expedite critical orders and resolve bottlenecks in delivery schedules.
  • Oversee the resolution of supplier claims, including defective goods, short shipments, and billing discrepancies.
  • Ensure all claims are documented, analyzed, and resolved in alignment with contractual terms and organizational policies, with timely closure.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, correspondence, and follow-ups for transparency and audit purposes.
  • Prepare detailed operational reports, including supplier performance metrics, order cycle times, and areas for improvement.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key suppliers to improve responsiveness and foster collaborative problem-solving.
  • Ensure timely coordination with logistics and warehousing teams to facilitate the receipt of goods and materials, address delays and disruptions, and implement contingency plans as needed.
  • Liaise with demand planning, project management, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and requirements, payments, and issue resolutions for suppliers.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain/Logistics, or equivalent is required.
  • 10+ years in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics Operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Professional certification in Six Sigma/Lean Management.
  • Recognized Supply Chain Certifications such as Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing supplier relations, procurement processes, and team leadership in large-scale projects.
