About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team at Koch Engineered Solutions. As a Material Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing plant by overseeing the planning and coordination of materials and production flow.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Schedule Material Deliveries: Schedule the supply of materials to meet operational needs and maintain minimum stock levels.
  2. Optimize Material Allocation: Allocate all raw materials based on the most efficient cutting plan to reduce scrap percentages and ensure the utilization of leftover materials.
  3. Support Logistics Activities: Support the Logistics team to ensure logistics activities are executed as planned.
  4. Generate Cutting Programs: Generate cutting programs for the production team.
  5. Ensure Material Availability: Communicate with Project Management, Stores, and Procurement to ensure the timely availability of materials.
  6. Collaborate with Operational Departments: Collaborate with other operational departments to fulfill customer needs.
  7. Prepare Material Plans: Prepare material plans for new projects.
  8. Meet Delivery Goals: Support meeting or exceeding established On-Time Performance (OTP) delivery goals.
  9. Review Manufacturing Routings: Create and constantly review manufacturing routings in collaboration with the manufacturing team.
  10. Manage Multiple Projects: Manage multiple projects by providing scheduling, resource management, budget control, and ensuring EHS & Quality compliance.
  11. Estimate and Plan: Ensure accurate estimations and encourage the production team to explore alternative solutions for realistic estimates.
Requirements
  1. MRP Systems Experience: MRP systems exposure in purchasing or planning or equivalent work.
  2. Computer Skills: Excellent in word processing, spreadsheet, and general operating system computer skills, AutoCad, LandTek, Nesting Software's.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to exchange information clearly and concisely with co-workers, supervisors, other departments, etc.
  4. Teamwork: Must be a team player who is willing to cooperate with and consider input.
  5. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions.
  6. Cross-Functional Organization: Ability to work in a cross-functional organization.
  7. Manufacturing and Materials Planning Skills: Strong manufacturing and materials planning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Manufacturing Processes Knowledge: Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes associated with heat exchangers, flares, skids, and pressure vessels with international customers.
  2. Drafting and Programming Capabilities: Drafting and programming capabilities.
  3. Material Planning Experience: Material Planning Experience.
  4. Lean Deployment: Professional with Lean deployment.
