Job Summary

The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for optimizing inventory levels across the supply chain network, ensuring product availability, and coordinating with vendors to maintain efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management
    • Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and suggest strategies to optimize inventory levels.
    • Monitor inventory levels against target levels, analyzing key metrics such as vendor fill rate, lead time variability, and inbound capacity.
    • Manage inventory levels, including ageing products, slow-moving items, and discontinued items, to minimize obsolete stock.
  • Ensuring Product Availability
    • Maintain the product availability ratio at the target level.
    • Identify and communicate current and future inventory issues and develop recovery plans.
    • Liaise with vendors to ensure materials availability.
  • Material Requirement Planning
    • Review planning parameters and update the most suitable ordering method and schedule, aligning with MOQ, BOM components, and container rounding.
    • Manage the periodic ordering process.
  • Shipment Controlling & Monitoring
    • Control and monitor shipments, notifying of shipment delays.
    • Prioritize articles in new loading, expedite out-of-stock articles production and readiness, and postpone overstock articles.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide prompt responses to failed service tickets with status, reason, and solution.
    • Offer timely and accurate information to incoming requests from internal customers, such as product information and availability.
  • Special Sales Order Fulfillment
    • Handle special customer sales order fulfillment processes to ensure stock availability at the agreed time.
  • Master Data Management
    • Manage supply chain parameters in the article master data.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience in the industry, or a related field.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in business, industrial engineering, supply chain, or a related field. Production and inventory management certifications, such as APICS (CPIM), are preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software and systems (e.g., ERP systems).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory records and transactions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other departments.
