Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Content Manager to join our team at JASARA Program Management Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content Development: Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.
  • Documentation Management: Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage.
  • Information Architecture: Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that adhere to organizational and legal standards and allow for easy data migration.
  • Content Delivery: Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with consistent voice across all documentation.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree in journalism, communications, or a relevant technical field and a minimum of 8 years of related work experience in construction or a similar field, including managerial experience. They will require knowledge of organizational practices, processes, and current technology. Business Management experience with knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment Management is preferred.

Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Eight or more years of experience as an effective technical writer.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
  • Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences.
  • Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, or a relevant technical field.
  • Firm understanding of SDLC (systems development lifecycle).
  • Previous experience in HSEQ Procedure development.
  • Professional certification (ex: Society for Technical Communication).
  • Experience in using XML tools to create documentation.
