Educational Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Support Specialist to join our team at ABC Diagnostic and Learning Center. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Student Support: Assist students in the classroom and school setting to help them reach their full potential and develop their individual talents.
- Learning Opportunities: Create and provide opportunities for students to become self-reliant, productive, and critically-thinking individuals.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Utilize Continuous Benchmarking Measurement (CBM) for ongoing assessment and evaluation of student progress.
- Observations and Accommodations: Conduct observations at school and provide accommodations and modifications to the classroom setting to ensure students receive the support they need.
- One-on-One Sessions: Run individual sessions with students in Arabic and Math to help them overcome challenges and achieve academic success.
- Research-Based Strategies: Provide research-based strategies to teach essential skills such as reading, spelling, and writing.
- Evidence-Based Programs: Implement the ABC Center evidence-based program for Reading, spelling, and Math to ensure students receive high-quality instruction.
- Individualized Educational Plans: Develop and implement Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for students and provide written reports to parents to keep them informed of their child's progress.
- Continuous Improvement: Collect evidence of your practice and related student outcomes on an ongoing basis to facilitate continual development and improvement.
- Parent Support: Provide support for parents by offering recommendations for home and school to help them support their child's learning.
- Therapy Area Maintenance: Ensure the therapy area is kept clean and safe prior to and following sessions by ensuring materials are put back in their original locations.
- Compliance and Technology: Abide by all CARF standards and utilize technology (Microsoft Teams, Emails, Planner, OneDrive, Zoom, etc.) to support your work.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to design, plan, and provide an excellent modern learning environment.
- Employer Guidelines: Abide by all instructions and guidelines issued by the employer that are in the best interests of the center and its policies.
