Data Center Facility Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Environment Facility Manager to join our AWS Infrastructure Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for engineering operations and maintenance across the Amazon availability zone.
Key Responsibilities- Facility Infrastructure Management: Oversees the build out of Facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations.
- Team Leadership: Responsible for the onsite management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with AWS practices and procedures.
- Engineering Systems Availability: Has primary responsibility for engineering systems availability in both leased and colocated facilities.
- Financial Analysis: Conducts financial analysis and contributes to financial decisions.
- Team Development: Managing and developing teams of engineers, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiates and rolls out contracts and defines and audits SLAs.
- Project Management: Will conduct Project Management for multiple sites.
- Business Decision Making: Draws from a deep group or department level understanding to make business decisions.
- Priority Setting: Uses business knowledge to set priorities and develop project plans.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Interact and work together with other stakeholders in other engineering disciplines.
- Critical System Management: Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment.
- Recruitment Support: Assist in recruitment efforts.
- Education: Degree in engineering/technical field or equivalent (to be amended based on the region's specifics).
- People Management Experience: 8+ years of People Management experience.
- Engineering Team Management: 5+ years experience building strong, successful Engineering technical teams.
- Engineering Operations Experience: 3+ years of relevant engineering operation experience managing large scale services.
- Language Skills: Very good command of English.
- University Degree: University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, in relevant discipline or equivalent training.
- Engineering Experience: 5+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large scale services.
- Team Building Experience: 8+ years experience building strong, successful Engineering technical teams.
- Data Center Engineering Management: Data Center Engineering Management.
