Key Accountabilities

This role is critical in driving product innovation and ensuring the success of our operations. As our Nutrition and Menu Planning Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and launch of new menu items, collaborating with our research and development team, and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Main Tasks
  1. Product Development:
    • You will lead the modification of our menu items, ensuring alignment with the latest health and wellness trends, in partnership with our research and development team.
  2. Market Research and Trend Analysis:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in healthy eating, dietary needs, and consumer preferences in your market.
    • Analyze customer feedback and market data to continuously enhance and innovate our meal offerings.
  3. Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Collaborate closely with our nutritionists and dietitians to ensure that our ingredients meet our quality standards in your market.
    • Coordinate with our suppliers and procurement teams to source high-quality, health-conscious ingredients for your market.
  4. Auditing and Operations:
    • Regularly audit our product development and meal production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency.
    • Identify areas for improvement within our development and production workflows and implement corrective actions as necessary.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of new product launches and operational procedures, making recommendations for improvements.
    • Train our teams on all new recipes, meals, and components so they can effectively execute.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed records of recipe development, ingredient sourcing, product testing, training records, and operational audits.
  6. Quality and Compliance:
    • Ensure that all new meal products meet our quality standards and comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
  7. Innovation and Creativity:
    • Develop unique and appealing local market meal options that enhance the value proposition of our subscription service and attract new customers.
    • Support our teams in creating new meals, assisting in their growth and knowledge with our systems and food philosophy.
Ideal CandidateQualifications
  • Culinary arts degree or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 9-12 years' experience, sous chef level, with a minimum of 3 years working within an NPD/kitchen environment
  • Proficient communication skills in English
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility is a plus
  • Passionate about customer satisfaction

  • Proven team leadership experiences and ability to train kitchen teams
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Skilled at delegating and managing multiple tasks
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS, MMS)
  • Advanced knowledge of healthy cooking techniques and nutritional requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and launching innovative meal products
  • Strong creative and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to conduct audits and optimize operational processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficiency in food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
