Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to spearhead IT operations for global esports events in Riyadh. As a key member of our team, you will lead IT-related efforts for localized productions in the Saudi Arabian market, ensuring seamless event execution and technical delivery.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with a focus on coordinating IT infrastructure, software, and hardware deployment to meet event timelines and regional audience needs. You will play a pivotal role in high-profile events like the Esports World Cup, FIFA, and other global flagship events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive IT Efforts for Localized and Global Events
    • Coordinate IT infrastructure, software, and hardware deployment to meet event timelines and requirements, tailoring solutions to the needs of the Saudi Arabian audience.
    • Play a pivotal role in the Esports World Cup (EWC)—a unique, one-of-a-kind flagship event—by leading IT-related areas in collaboration with Operations and Production teams to ensure exceptional technical delivery.
    • Support other high-profile events, such as FIFA, by overseeing IT infrastructure, software, and hardware deployment to meet event timelines and regional audience needs.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure the technical aspects of these global events are flawlessly localized for the Saudi Arabian market.
    • Contribute to the success of other global high-caliber events by supporting the broader global team, guiding project and administrative tasks to ensure alignment, efficiency, and excellence in execution.
  • Manage Local Teams
    • Supervise and coordinate with local direct reports and freelancers, ensuring clear communication, alignment with project goals, and adherence to high performance standards.
  • Stakeholder and Government Relations
    • Represent the Event IT team in discussions with local authorities, vendors, and partners, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
    • Ensure all IT operations comply with Saudi regulations regarding cybersecurity, infrastructure, and data management.
    • Build and nurture relationships with local suppliers, ISPs, and technical vendors.
    • Negotiate contracts, manage procurement, and oversee the delivery of services and equipment for seamless IT operations.
  • Reporting and Documentation
    • Maintain detailed records of IT project progress, setups, vendor communications, and lessons learned.
    • Deliver comprehensive post-event reports to evaluate outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in IT project management, preferably within esports, live events, or entertainment industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, hardware, and software in event environments.
  • Familiarity with Saudi IT regulations, including cybersecurity and infrastructure standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven experience liaising with internal teams, vendors, and government entities.
  • Mandatory expertise in project management tools such as monday.com, Jira, or equivalents.
  • Advanced proficiency in Slack and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, juggle multiple priorities, and support events during irregular hours.
