Job Summary

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Environmental Planning and Sustainability to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our environmental planning and sustainability efforts, ensuring that our projects are executed in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of environmental planning and sustainability strategies for our projects.
  • Manage and oversee the work of environmental consultants and specialists to ensure that our projects meet the highest environmental standards.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation measures to minimize the environmental footprint of our projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and other interested parties.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into all aspects of project development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest environmental regulations and best practices, and ensure that our projects comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in environmental planning and sustainability, with a strong background in project management and team leadership.
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and developing mitigation measures.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices, with the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in the Middle East or other regions with similar environmental challenges.
  • Knowledge of IFC Performance Standards and other relevant international guidelines.
  • Experience with environmental management systems and sustainability reporting.
