About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Services Specialist to join our team at Medtronic. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation and Commissioning: Lead and execute installations and commissioning of new equipment to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance as per service manual checklist to ensure equipment is functioning at optimal levels.
  • Breakdown Repair and Troubleshooting: Attend breakdown calls and perform repairs and troubleshooting independently to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers, including phone and remote support, to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with other field service engineers to troubleshoot difficult service activities and ensure effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Travel and Site Work: Travel to sites to work as a member of the local team to provide efficient repair/installation support.
Requirements
  • Education: Biomedical/Electronic Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technical services, field service, or a related field.
  • Skills: Good knowledge of troubleshooting methods/skills and capital equipment control. Good experience in Cranial Spinal Therapy large capital equipment such as imaging and navigation systems. Healthcare/surgical setting experience is required.
  • Personal Qualities: Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Available to travel (around 50% of the time) domestically and internationally and work outside of core office hours. Advanced English writing and speaking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Medical Devices: Experience with medical devices within a large capital equipment environment. Insight into legal, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Physical Demands: Physically fit to work as the job requires carrying heavy tools and equipment.
  • Leadership and Communication: Direct experience interacting and dealing with key opinion leaders and other leading roles in the scientific and clinical community. Advanced reporting skills. Advanced Microsoft Office experience. Knowledge in SAP tools such as ServiceMax.
