Role Purpose

As a Social Media Manager, you will assist the social team in providing creative and strategic direction, playing an instrumental role in the success of our social campaigns and strategies. You will be the first point of contact in the agency with the clients you manage, overseeing client accounts unsupervised and ensuring they remain profitable and of the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, particularly at senior level, to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Manage the implementation of agreed client/campaign activity on a day-to-day basis, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Monitor the progress of client activity, providing regular updates and identifying new opportunities or potential problems.
  • Lead the team responsible for responding to conversations and comments in social media on behalf of clients.
  • Deliver real-time insights to account and client teams as required, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and write client-facing reports on the level, tone, and sentiment of online conversations.
  • Develop and implement appropriate tracking and measurement tools to produce detailed reports on campaign effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the writing and delivery of strategic, realistic, and creative social campaigns that respond to client communication requirements.
  • Stay immersed in clients' industries, marketplaces, and key objectives to offer real, tangible value to their accounts.
  • Manage the workload, efficiency, and ongoing mentoring and development of Social Media Account Executives, imparting knowledge and leading by example.
  • Determine priorities and guide workloads, providing input for team appraisals and suggesting development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in consumer and B2B marketing, with a deep understanding of the social media landscape.
  • Ability to form and strengthen solid client relationships, with evidence of successful partnerships.
  • Experience in managing a small team and 'managing up' to senior stakeholders.
  • Strategically minded, confident, and tenacious when leading clients, with a strong sense of intuition.
  • Commercially minded, with evidence of growing new business from existing client relationships.
