About the Role: Store Manager

The Store Manager is a key member of our retail team, responsible for driving sales and achieving financial objectives in our stores. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain high standards of customer service and loss prevention.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive Sales and Achieve Financial Objectives: Communicate store targets to the team and implement strategies to achieve sales growth and financial objectives.
  2. Maintain Loss Prevention Standards: Ensure compliance with cash handling, fraud, and theft prevention policies to minimize losses and protect company assets.
  3. Oversee Point of Sales Activities: Monitor and manage all point of sales activities, including sales transactions, customer orders, payments, inventory updates, and customer service.
  4. Manage Cash Transactions: Oversee cash transaction entry and management, including petty cash, point of sales cash elements, and change floats.
  5. Audit and Resolve Issues: Regularly audit store administration and resolve any issues that arise, including annual stock counts and spot checks.
  6. Handle Customer Complaints: Monitor and handle customer complaints, taking corrective action in line with company policy and responding to feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Track and Evaluate Sales Performance: Monitor and analyze sales reports to identify business opportunities and propose action plans to increase sales and profitability.
  8. Maximize Stock Potential: Analyze sales reports and provide insights to maximize stock potential, reporting on the performance of new and core collections.
  9. Maintain Store Displays: Ensure that window and in-store displays are maintained to a high standard in line with merchandising guidelines.
  10. Oversee Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, including stock availability, order management, back store management, and stock movement within the store.
  11. Ensure Accurate Stock Merchandise: Ensure accurate stock merchandise and management, including stock aging, stock loss, and space management.
  12. Coordinate with Facilities Department: Coordinate with the facilities department on repairs or replacements of furniture or equipment, supporting company maintenance standards and programs to optimize asset life.
  13. Manage Staffing Levels: Maintain staffing levels consistent with operational needs to ensure exceptional customer service, preparing schedules and ensuring adequate shift coverage.
  14. Ensure Seasonal Peaks and Promotional Events: Ensure that seasonal peaks and important promotional events are taken into account when preparing forecasts and staff rosters.
  15. Train Team Members: Ensure that team members are adequately trained in inventory management techniques, including in-bound movement of goods, receiving, stocking, restocking, transfers, and managing inventory discrepancies.
