Senior Project Manager

The Role
Job Summary The Senior Project Manager, Urban Planning & Design is responsible for the urban planning and Design activities in K&A Riyadh Office. The jobholder is accountable for the performance of urban planning and design ongoing projects and is most of the time the main client’s interface. He has the responsibility to contribute to the sub-sector activities in Riyadh in coordination with the Sub-Sector Head and Design Centers. He promotes business, oversee delivery of key projects and guide the design support team in Riyadh. Responsibilities - Business Leadership - Contribute to the sub-sector business plan in Riyadh - Monitor and control the resident team performance - Contribute to complex proposals and presentations to clients - Build professional networks with potential projects partners in KSA - Advise and contribute to urban planning & design proposals - Contribute to high level projects presentations to clients - Establish a healthy work environment for employees - Monitor and regulate section utilization and chargeability - Contribute to professional communities through participation in relevant events - Attend periodic industry’s related events to stay abreast of latest trends - Attend and plan periodic training and conferences to further develop relevant skills - Contribution to business success - Responsible for Riyadh Urban Planning and design team performance (Chargeability, Utilization, Retention rates)
**Requirements**:

- 18 + years of industry experience of which at least 12 years are in a leadership role - Bachelor in: Architecture /Landscape Design/ Urban Design / Urban Planning - Master’s Degree in: Urbanism / City Planning / Urban Design / Landscape - PhD in one of the above is a plus - Chartered Project Management Certification (PMP) or equivalent - Chartered Sustainability Certification (LEED) or equivalent is preferred - Significant industry experience within the GCC and the MENA region - Fluent English oral and written communication skills. (Arabic is a plus) - In depth knowledge of all urban planning principles. - Understanding of international engineering standards and codes. - Good communication and presentation skills. - Good interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage - Exposure to global best practices and trends in the Urban Planning design domain. - Experience in the Middle East is preferred.
