**Job Description - Technical Manager**:

- To oversee and ensure the smooth running of the quality control and quality assurance systems on a day to day basis, through delegation to QC Manager or Senior Technician as appropriate.
- Act as the interface and main point of contact between the client and the QC/QA functions.
- To assist in ensuring a safe working environment identifying improvements in the operating and reporting procedures of the business.
- Implement health & safety policies and ensure a safe working environment.
- Monitor and understand new developments in ready mix technology and materials, develop new mix designs as required.
- Oversee the authorization of reports and client enquiries regarding technical issues and concerns.
- Assist to the top management as necessary in resolving potential Contractor concerns or complaints.
- Ensure through the QA Manager that staff training records are maintained in line with the company QA Management system.
- Ensure all material tests are correctly conducted and supported by documentary evidence and that calibrated equipment is used.
- Assist in the recruitment of new staff into the business and provide relevant training, appraisals and deal with operational staff issues.
- Maintain compliance with Quality Assurance when dealing with regulatory bodies and identified non-compliances.
- Providing operational leadership to advance the Company’s Strategic Business initiatives.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Middle East Construction Materials industry and should have a senior Technical management background with knowledge of ISO Quality assurance programs and operational aspects of the Concrete Ready-mix Industry.
- Master degree in Civil engineering or a related field.
- Gulf experience within the ready-mix concrete industry 10 to 15 years.
