Key accountabilities & responsibilities

Product Knowledge:
Develop an extensive understanding of products and solutions related to warehousing, distribution, and container depots, including warehouse management systems, inventory control software, tracking technologies, container handling equipment, and related services. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the warehousing, distribution, and container depot sectors.

Sales and Customer Engagement:
Identify and engage with potential customers in the warehousing, distribution, and container depot industries through various channels, such as industry events, trade shows, cold calling, and referrals. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers in targeted organizations. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations that effectively showcase how the technical solutions meet the specific needs of warehousing, distribution, and container depot operations. Understand customer pain points, challenges, and requirements to propose tailored technical solutions. Provide accurate and timely responses to customer inquiries, follow-up on leads, and prepare comprehensive proposals.

Technical Support and Training:
Provide technical support and assistance to customers during the sales process and after the sale is made. Collaborate with technical teams to address customer issues or concerns, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate customers on the technical features, benefits, and optimal utilization of the products and solutions.

Actively leading the RFI, RFQ and RFP process. Ensure RFQ & RFP proposals submitted are comprehensive, competitive and within the parameters set by global product.

Contract negotiation with customers.

Conduct post bidding analysis and provide the product head with input on business development strategy matters in light of findings.

Coordinate with operation / implementation / technology teams to hand over the solution after business award.

Take responsibility in projects as assigned by product head from time to time

Required experience & skills:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering) is preferred.
- Proven experience in technical sales within the warehousing, distribution, and container depot industries, demonstrating a strong understanding of related products and solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of warehousing and distribution processes, container depot operations, and related industry standards.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a customer-centric approach.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and persuasive selling skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce and other sales tools.
- Preferably being familiar with industries of Apparel & Footwear, FMCG, Reefer, Automotive and Technology.
- Excellent English. Arabic is a plus.
