Position Summary:
Responsible for Shovel Loader (Wheel Loader) operation in cold slag area, Complying with safe operation practices.

**Major Responsibilities & Duties performed**:

- Getting the proper feedback from the reliever.
- Cold slag shifting and dumping is sole responsibility of showel operator.
- Asking shift foreman about the planning for the shift.
- Preventive check of equipment’s (Cleaning of filter, radiators with air & petrol/diesel).
- Close coordination with Supervisor.
- Responsible to shift powder slag in cold slag dumping area near scrap yard.
- Responsible to dump cold slag in Dump truck with safe practice.

**Responsible to check machine before startup**:

- Engine oil level is ok.
- Radiator coolant level is ok.
- Radiator coolant is clean.
- Air Filter Element is clean.
- Hydraulic oil level is sufficient.
- Radiator water is not having any leakage.
- Engine oil has no leakage.
- Hydraulic oil leakage from pipe and pipe fittings is not there.
- Hydraulic cylinder seal leakage is not there.
- There is no any air leakage in the system.
- Reporting for the critical items.
- Informed foreman / Supervisor if found any abnormality or unsafe in shift.
- Execution of any other jobs as instructed by day shift supervisor.
- Any job assigned by the seniors.

Other Responsibilities:

- Strictly following the safe working practices and safety rules of the organization as per HS&E Policy.
- Strictly Follow the Safety Instruction related to the Jobs
- Keep issued PPE in good and workable condition.
- Do not allow any unsafe PPE usage by staff report PPE damages to concerned authority
- Avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipments and welfare facilities.
- Should attend the safety training scheduled for them
- Have right to say” NO” to any unsafe work.
- SBT / On the Job training / Tool Box Talks to the Sub-ordinates
- STOP program awareness & implementation.
- Ensure standard practice is being followed & any deviation to be reported.
- The employee will be work in General Shift / Shift Rota as per company requirement.
- Employee can be transfer to any production unit within company as per company requirement.

Supervision:
Will be supervised by the Shift Foreman.
