**The Procurement General Manager** is to lead the Procurement team and manage all purchasing and contracting activities for the company including procurement activities related to projects. The Procurement GM has the responsibility for ensuring the code of ethics following policy, procedures, and applicable local regulations. He also shall demonstrate strong leadership and managerial competencies, including integrity, accountability, communication skills and commitment to teamwork and excellence in responsibilities such as selecting, mentoring, coaching, supervising, motivating, and training all procurement staff.
**- Exercise a strong sense of urgency to maintain high personal performance while making decisions and allocating resources in a cost-efficient manner.
- Mentor and improve the team performance
- Set and implement plans for Procurement team for better business participation and involvement, more commitment, more innovation, creativity and higher satisfaction at work.
- Prepare working reports and status updates of the procurement activities to the VP of PSCM
- Monitor business trends and service availability to pay the best price for materials/services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
- Conduct evaluations of procurement staff, coach, train, counsel and advise staff taking corrective action as needed.
- Set work objectives; and direct, supervise and review staff and staff assignments providing high-level technical/administrative guidance on work requirements and methods.

**Requirements**:

- ** 15+ years **of experience in Buying/Procurement or any relevant experience in a similar role.
- ** Shipbuilding / Rig building / MRO/ Equivalent Industry experience is a must.**:

- ** Education**:Preferably Master’s Degree or B**achelor's degree** in** Business or Supply Chain Management,**:

- Preferably have Project Management qualification such as PPM
- Professional Certificates: Supply Chain certifications such as **MCIPS **or **CPSM.**:

- English language: Fluent
- Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings.
