Design Manager

**Job Purpose**

The Design Manager is responsible for overseeing all design-related activities within the real estate development projects and preparing concept ideas for new designs. This role involves managing the design process from concept to completion, support in preparing project specifications and RFP ensuring that all projects meet the company’s quality standards, budget, and timeline and integrating sustainable design practices as required and recommend best design solutions to each project. The Design Manager will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver aesthetically pleasing and functional real estate projects. In addition, the design manager to support projects team in follow up as required and support in solving design issues.

**Duties & responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the design process for all real estate development projects.
- Develop and implement design strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
- Ensure that all design solutions are innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective
- Oversee the entire design lifecycle, from initial concept through to final completion.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure design integrity and adherence to project timelines.
- Support in preparing detailed architectural plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring design solutions are within financial constraints.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for all designs stages.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior architects and designers.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them develop their skills and achieve project goals.
- Conduct thorough reviews of architectural drawings and documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of design and construction
- Integrate sustainable design principles and innovative technologies into projects.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in architecture and real estate development.
- Present design proposals and project updates to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Address client feedback and make necessary adjustments to designs.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other external consultants.
- Facilitate regular design review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure clear communication and coordination among all parties involved in the design process.
- Implement design quality control processes to maintain high standards across all projects.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure design specifications are being met.
- Address and resolve any design-related issues that arise during the construction phase.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

Professional registration or certification in architecture or design is an advantage.

**Minimum Experience**:

- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in design management, preferably within the real estate industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful real estate design projects.
- PMP Certificate is a plus.
- Knowledge in AutoCAD/Revit and updated new software’s.

**Language**:
English & Arabic: Advanced

**Software Skills and Experience**:
Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, 3D Max, Lumion, Illustrator, Sketch up and updated new software’s.
