Key Account Manager

**Description**:
The primary responsibility of the Key Account Manager is to align strategy with customers needs by developing mutual business opportunities. At this position, he has to maximize short and long term sales and profitability and build long term relationships with customers to become the preferred supplier.
- Accountable to develop and manage long term customer relationships
- Accountable for the volume and POP targets at Key Accounts
- Accountable to recommend the strategic direction for Retail Key Account customers
- Accountable to develop and maintain Key Account Fact Books
- Accountable to develop, negotiate, implement and monitor customer business plans
- Accountable to prepare and conduct regular customer business planning reviews
- Responsible for the management of a team of Key Account salesmen and merchandisers (where applicable)
- Responsible to co-ordinate with Trade marketing and/or Product Management to ensure tailor made promotions are consistent with category objectives
- Responsible to ensure tailor made promotions are pre and post evaluated
- Accountable to maintain volume forecasts
- Accountable to follow up on Collection of Key Account Customer monthly statements
- Maximize category potential for the COMPANY and customer
- Prepare tailor-made promotions in line with Marketing objectives
