**Description**

You as a SAS Service Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the grid automation field with lots of opportunity front technical discussions with customers and travel across Saudi Arabia. You shall be an experienced engineering professional who will be well versed with the substation automation systems and be a good communicator with proven troubleshooting skills, able to understand customer challenges and has the competence to propose & implement relevant solutions.

**Your responsibilities**
- Executing service work on Substation Automation Systems according to work instructions and in accordance with Hitachi Energy processes.
- Delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers and preparing methods of statements and site activity scheduling’s.
- Supervising cubicle installation & cable laying works and performing, modification, extension and upgrading works including scheme checks, system power up, system integration, communication verification, signal tests, implement cybersecurity controls, cybersecurity tests, SAT, energization checks, etc.
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance works and identifying technical problems and make analysis through remote or on-site activities in different areas (service, installation and commissioning, retrofits, technical assistance).
- Preparing visit reports, service reports, test reports, RCA, etc as required on the job.
- Working closely and cooperation with the engineering team to identify digital solutions and supporting the expansion of the service scope on the Hitachi Energy installed base.

**Your background**
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering is required.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Substation Automation Systems and IEC 61850 is preferred.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English and Arabic language is required.
