On behalf of one of our clients, we looking for a Strategy & Business Development Director

**Job Summary**

**Overview of the Company -** This holding company will be responsible for growing the maritime manufacturing industry in Saudi Arabia. Specifically building additional shipyards and capabilities across commercial, leisure and defense. In order to facilitate the development of this sector there will be a requirement to build Kingdom-wide enablers, the eco-system and strategies.

**Overview of the role -** Be responsible for developing the overarching strategy across six areas; facilities development, international partner / investor development, financials, local supply chain / local partner development (consolidation) and strategic market intelligence and demand capture strategies. Develop the overarching development of the Holding Company - The focus of the Company will be the manufacturing and MRO of floating assets in sectors which include commercial vessels/rigs, OSV’s, defense vessels, leisure vessels and the development of an MRO hub. The locations will be on the East and West Coast of Saudi Arabia. Identify International Partners who could be included in the operating model. Engage with the international partners and work with the internal and external team members to define the correct method of commercial engagement with the target entity. Consolidation of existing companies in the sector locally. This will involve the coordination and development of the transaction principles, development of the due diligence framework and the execution of the final documents ready for signature. Ensure that the financial modelling and sales forecasts are aligned with the market and the margins are reasonable. Build the optimum operating model which will ensure the Holding Company covers the market demand in the Kingdom, regionally and will eventually compete globally.

Fully manage the acquisition of demand analysis in terms of the core product mix in defense, leisure, commercial and defense sectors - this is for the purpose of capturing vessel new build manufacturing and MRO work for the holding company. Work with the consultancies - strategy and technical to develop all commercial documentation to engage with key industry stakeholders in the maritime sector in order to build the National Maritime Manufacturing Champion. Work on the enabler development required to build a maritime manufacturing industry in the Kingdom. This includes an understanding of HR, financial, supply chain and facility enablers. Work with key leadership in Government entities and Saudi Aramco to align on the strategic development of this initiative and lead the implementation of the strategy, working with relevant industry stakeholders, consultants, legal, financial and technical expertise

**Qualifications**
- Masters’ Degree Level / MBA Minimum
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration

**Experience & Skills**
- Personable, Excellent Communication Skills, Hard Working, Maritime Manufacturing Experience, Start-up Experience, JV Experience, Mergers and Acquisitions
- 12-15 years in the industry with at least 5 years in a start-up JV in the Maritime Manufacturing Industry. 5 years working in the Middle East, preferably with experience of the Saudi Arabian market.
