WSP are seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience in design and delivery to join our dynamic team and lead collaborative efforts on complex transport and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the planning, execution, and successful completion of infrastructure projects. This role involves working closely with project managers and senior engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will assist in coordinating project activities, managing resources, and communicating with stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
**Your new role, what's involved?**
- **Project Planning and Coordination**: Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate project activities to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
- **Resource Management**: Help manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials. Ensure resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to meet project demands.
- **Stakeholder Communication**: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and ensure stakeholder requirements are met.
- **Risk Management**: Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies. Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and implement corrective actions as needed.
- **Quality Assurance**: Support the implementation of quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet required standards. Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with specifications.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and technical reports. Ensure all project records are accurate and up-to-date.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, to ensure effective collaboration and project success. Participate in team meetings and provide input on project decisions.
**We'd love to hear from you if you have**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) are advantageous.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in managing or assisting with infrastructure and/or transport projects.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Ability to analyze project data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving project issues and challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project teams and foster a cooperative working environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all project-related tasks.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
