**Job Purpose**

Develop and administer Technical Engineering plans and programs to facilitate out-of-gauge cargo movements, either ad hoc or as part of a longer project in line with business strategy and objectives, guidelines and policies.

**Key Tasks**
- Develop and administer Technical Engineering plans and programs to facilitate out-of-gauge cargo movements, either ad hoc or as part of a longer project
- Generate visualizations of proposed solutions in CAD software
- Develop and formulate technical work packages, including engineering design and analysis related to out-of?gauge cargo transportation and handling.
- Prepare technical documents to support bid responses - Perform review and validation of subcontractor plans, method statements and heavylift manuals
- Research and evaluate development of new products and procedures and assist in laying out project specifications
- Attend client meetings to convey technical concepts and designs - Follow industry standards and best practices for handling and transportation of cargo
- Prioritize and coordinate all necessary engineering work and ensure company standards

**Stakeholders**
- Connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers
- May convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
- Provide technical guidance to line managers and employees

**Management Responsibility**
- Individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others
- May direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs
- Coach and review the work of lower level professionals
