**Job Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in mechanical engineering and extensive experience in pipeline projects. The Project Manager will lead and coordinate all phases of pipeline projects from concept and design through construction, commissioning, and close-out. This role requires a thorough understanding of pipeline engineering principles, project management best practices, and relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- **Key Responsibilities**_
- **Project Planning and Scheduling**: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for pipeline engineering projects. Ensure that project milestones and deliverables are met on schedule and within budget.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, construction crews, and subcontractors. Foster collaboration and resolve conflicts to ensure efficient project progress.
- **Stakeholder Communication**: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders. Provide regular project updates and communicate any potential issues, risks, or changes to scope.
- **Risk Management and Compliance**: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure that all pipeline activities comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- **Budget Management**: Track project expenses, analyze variances, and make recommendations to keep the project within budget. Approve expenditures and oversee financial reporting for the project.
- **Quality Assurance**: Ensure all project activities and deliverables meet high-quality standards. Review engineering designs, construction plans, and material specifications to ensure alignment with project goals.
- **Procurement and Contract Management**: Oversee procurement processes for materials and equipment, including vendor negotiations, contract management, and compliance with quality standards.
- **Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management**: Promote a strong safety culture on all pipeline projects, enforce safety guidelines, and lead incident investigations when necessary.
- **Project Documentation**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including technical documents, progress reports, and regulatory filings. Ensure a smooth handover at project completion.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. An advanced degree or certifications (such as PMP) are a plus.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 15 years of experience in pipeline project management, with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering.
- **Technical Skills**: Extensive knowledge of pipeline design, construction, and maintenance processes. Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design tools ( AutoCAD).
- **Leadership Abilities**: Strong team leadership, conflict resolution, and mentoring skills to guide a multidisciplinary team through complex projects.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks, troubleshoot engineering issues, and adapt to project changes.
- **Regulatory Knowledge**: Familiarity with pipeline industry standards (ASME, API), environmental regulations, and HSE practices.

**Preferred Skills**
- Experience working in both domestic and international, cross country pipeline projects.
- Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) and/or specific industry certifications related to pipeline engineering.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in cost estimation and financial tracking for large-scale projects.
