The Financial Controller at FlyAkeed will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial operations. Reporting to the Finance Director / CFO, the Financial Controller will oversee all financial reporting activities, ensure compliance with IFRS standards, support and monitor the Budgeting/Financial Reporting Manager, and work closely with other departments to support business decision-making. Additionally, the Financial Controller will be responsible for enhancing the company’s internal control environment by establishing preventive, detective, and corrective controls.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Financial Reporting**:

- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.

2. **Budgeting and Forecasting**:

- Support and monitor the Budgeting/Financial Reporting Manager in the annual budgeting process.
- Assist in preparing and updating rolling forecasts based on current business trends and market conditions.
- Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations.

3. **Cash Flow Management**:

- Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity.
- Optimize cash flow by managing working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.
- Oversee the preparation of cash flow forecasts and develop strategies to mitigate any potential cash shortfalls.

4. **Internal Controls and Compliance**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust internal control environment, including preventive, detective, and corrective controls.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and financial regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.

5.** Team Leadership and Development**:

- Supervise and mentor the finance team, including accountants and analysts.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the finance team by setting clear goals, providing feedback, and encouraging professional development.6.

6. **Financial Analysis and Strategy**:

- Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Assess financial risks and opportunities and recommend actions to improve the company’s financial performance.
- Support the Finance Director / CFO in preparing financial presentations and reports for the board of directors.

7. **Collaboration with Other Departments**:

- Work closely with the Budgeting/Financial Reporting, Accounting/Tax, and Treasury teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and strategies.
- Collaborate with the GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) Manager to identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Engage with the operations and sales teams to ensure financial considerations are integrated into business decisions.

8.** Project Management**:

- Lead or participate in finance-related projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or CPA/CA/CMA qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a financial controller or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Saudi financial regulations.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with TRAACS or similar systems is a plus.
