**Water Wastewater Engineer Job Description**:
A Water Wastewater Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and design review of projects related to water and wastewater treatment systems. They work in collaboration with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient and effective operation of water and wastewater treatment facilities. This role requires technical expertise in engineering principles, environmental regulations, and project management.

**Water Wastewater Engineer Responsibilities**:

- Process engineering design development based on PARSONS design guidelines and good engineering practice, providing cost-effective solutions whilst ensuring technical compliance with client requirements.
- Design and develop water and wastewater treatment systems, including the selection and sizing of equipment, calculations, and hydraulic modeling.
- Conduct engineering evaluations and cost studies for water and wastewater projects, analyzing data and identifying potential issues or improvements.
- Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
- Represent the company during technical meetings with potential customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Research and stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in water and wastewater engineering.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and learning environment.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.

**Water Wastewater Engineer Required Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment methods.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, hydraulic modeling software, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex engineering issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and permit requirements in relation to water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in design calculations, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain project documentation and records systematically.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of water and wastewater engineering.

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering. A master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, preferably in the design and construction of treatment systems.
- Proficiency in engineering software, such as AutoCAD, hydraulic modeling software, and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and permit requirements related to water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing and delivering engineering projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and participate in site inspections and meetings as required.
- Commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace.
