It will help shape the Saudi maritime industry as one of the largest, most advanced and sustainable maritime facilities in the MENA region, with global ambitions and reach.

We are seeking a **Marine Hands Assistant** to be responsible for providing essential support in various aspects of vessel operation and maintenance. This role involves performing a wide range of tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the vessel while assisting the crew as needed.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Ensure safe and environmentally friendly use of equipment and tools, following manufacturer guidelines, and returning them to storage to prevent damage.
- Complete work assignments as defined by line management safely, efficiently, and within the allocated timeframe.
- Provide timely and accurate progress reports to line management and report any discrepancies or delays in job execution.
- Adhere to company procedures and policies, including Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (QSHE) rules and best practices.
- Ensure a smooth transition of job assignments to colleagues at the end of the shift to maintain workflow and productivity.
- Collaborate with Asset Management and provide support for maintenance activities related to Marine Operations Assets, following HSE procedures and without delays.
- Report equipment failures or non-conformities that pose hazards or may cause job delays to Asset Management help desk and line management.
- Comply with safe manual handling techniques, safe mooring line practices, confined space entry, working at height, and other Marine Operation courses and certifications received during training.
- Recondition Marine Operation assets, such as docking stools/blocks, mooring winches & capstans, FRC, and pneumatic fenders, based on guidance received.
- Perform basic preservation tasks for marine assets, including chipping, grinding, buffing, manual painting, washing, greasing, stenciling, and marking as needed.
- Participate in safe mooring and unmooring operations for vessels, rigs, and other floating assets.
- Participate in safe docking, undocking, load-out, floating-off, ship lift, and transfer operations as required by Marine Operations.
- Assist in shifting and rigging of marine assets using equipment like forklifts, cranes, or trailers.
- Assist in installing gangways and access towers for rigs and various types of vessels.
- Helping maintain an inventory of Marine assets and tools, including docking stools/blocks, mooring ropes, FRC, pneumatic fenders, and others.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:

- Diploma or an equivalent qualification
- 3-6 Years of navigation experience on vessels/OSV/Tugs, within Oil and Gas Offshore operations, or in Shipyard/Ship Repair Industry
- Third party certification of rigging level 1
- Proper basic computer skills (Word/Excel)
- Proper knowledge of site basic HSE and emergency response requirements
- Proper knowledge of safe manual handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in the English Language
