Security & Fire Assets Maintenance Superintendent

**About the Organization**:
A forward-looking maritime facility with a vision to become the ‘Shipyard of the Future’. The facility is set to be one of the largest maritime facilities in the world, with the capacity to build various types of vessels, including very large crude carriers, offshore drilling rigs, and commercial ships. It will help shape the Saudi maritime industry as one of the largest, most advanced and sustainable maritime facilities in the MENA region, with global ambitions and reach.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Ensure that all work tasks are executed in a manner that prioritizes safety and environmental responsibility, strictly adhering to international and company regulations with no exceptions.
- Supervise, coordinate, and manage the financial, physical, and regulatory aspects of the assigned equipment portfolio.
- Enforce the implementation of the Asset Management System in alignment with ISO55001 standards.
- Provide technical and logístical support in identifying, addressing, and rectifying issues concerning Security & Fire assets and systems.
- Evaluate and authorize capital improvement and maintenance requirements associated with Security & Fire assets and systems.
- Review and approve maintenance budgets for Security & Fire assets and systems.
- Propose modifications to asset management plans for Security & Fire assets and systems based on failure patterns, time between failures, and historical reliability data.
- Examine monthly reports and financial statements for Security & Fire assets and systems, analyze performance against budgets, investigate discrepancies, and suggest and implement operational and maintenance adjustments to achieve performance objectives.
- Keep tabs on maintenance issues related to Security & Fire assets and systems and ensure their prompt and cost-effective resolution.
- Collaborate with the Fire Prevention Department to communicate and address maintenance and operational issues related to Fire assets and systems, aiming to enhance reliability and availability.
- Collaborate with the Security Department to communicate and address maintenance and operational issues related to Security assets and systems, striving for improved reliability and availability.
- Recommend decisions for the disposal of non-compliant Security & Fire assets and systems, supported by comprehensive whole-life cost analyses and business justifications.
- Comprehend the organizational context and identify associated risks and opportunities within the department.
- Guarantee the availability of spare parts to support day-to-day maintenance tasks.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the business and take timely action to meet their targets.
- Supervise divisional staff, including task allocation, competency development, performance assessments, and leave scheduling.
- Collaborate closely with the HSEQ Department to address potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- In accordance with ISO55001 standards, review and approve business case studies, including risk assessments and decision-making matrices for the acquisition of new assets.
- If applicable, assess and recommend modifications to outsourcing strategies.
- Implement asset management competency guidelines and report compliance to the Maintenance Services Department Manager.
- Review and approve manpower Training Needs Analyses and Individual Development Plans.
- Evaluate the annual performance of the manpower.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of 9-15 years of practical experience in Security & Fire System Management.
- Have working knowledge of OSHA/NEBOSH standards and practices.
- Understanding of Health and Safety practices
- Understanding of firefighting legal requirements, and testing process
- Experience in Fire equipment refilling/certification requirements.
- Understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
- Excellent English level.
