Cathodic Protection Engineer

Overview / Responsibilities

SISCO is currently looking for Cathodic Protection Engineer to work in engineering department in EPC projects (with experience in Saudi Aramco, OMPP projects).
- Experience in the field of Cathodic Protection including Design, Engineering, Procurement, Inspection, Testing, Installation / Commissioning and Project Management.
- Experienced in handling large-scale Projects, from Tendering to Commissioning stage.
- Conducting Pre-Design Surveys, Site surveys, Soil Resistivity Survey, current drain survey, specialized post commissioning surveys, etc.
- Performing Design and Detail Engineering of TCP and PCP System for Wells, Flowline, Cross Country Pipeline, Road crossing casing pipes, Internal & External of Tanks/vessels, Plant Piping and Equipment.
- Extensive experience in detailed design, with expertise in monitoring/performing Maintenance review, resource optimization, inspection & quality control.
- Led a team of site engineers / technicians for Cathodic Protection System related monitoring, maintenance, and Site / Construction co-ordination activities.
- Handling CP Bid estimates, Techno-Commercial quotations and Price Analysis and driving initiatives for improving system reliability and reducing project costs.
- Preparation/review of CP - Project Specification Scope & Design Philosophy to Project requirements.
- Provides list of deliverables in CP package at Proposal stage & assisting to estimate the cost value of CP.
- Review of all engineering deliverables like Equipment layout, GA drawing, installation drawings, line diagram, installation and commissioning procedures, O&M manual, monitoring program to ensure all comments are incorporated before submission to client.
- Preparation of MR, Data Sheets & Vendor Technical Assessment Review.
- Preparation of TBE - Technical Bid Evaluation of Vendors for CP systems.
- Preparation of TQs to Vendors for technical justification to the deviation/offer provided.
- Review and approved NMRs.
- Reviewing and approving various Procedures / Method Statements, Erection and Commissioning procedures for CP Systems including Preparation of As-Built Drawing in CADD and final documentation.
- Familiar with the Saudi Aramco Standards, relevant International Standards.
- Verification of preliminary design provided by Aramco, Sabic, Sadara, etc.
- Conducting site visit and collect all required information.
- Interact with the Clients, Project Management and other Disciplines to achieve the design objectives.
- Preparation of MTOs.
- Participate in design review meetings as per project requirements and incorporate client comments on the submitted deliverables.
- Resolve of all technical issues during construction/ commissioning and ensure that all

the works done on site are in accordance with the issued for construction (IFC)

drawings, contract documents and project specifications.
- Suggest ways to improve efficiency, costs and service in the execution of projects.
- Supporting estimation, procurement and construction departments as required.
- Informs Project Management Team of any change in scope.
- Prepare design change notification (DCN) report for additional scope of work and take

approval from Client.
- Perform such duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Skills / Qualifications
- Experience with approved Engineering Contractor in KSA / GES+ is required.
- Experience with Saudi Aramco, OMPP projects is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar.
- Proven track record in FEED/Detailed Design experience.
- Previous experience with Saudi Aramco/Sabic/Sadara is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience in the use of Saudi Aramco approved software.
