We are seeking an experienced Program and
Database Manager
to oversee and manage various spatial database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database strategy development, performance monitoring, and future expansion planning. This role will also involve maintaining security measures to protect databases, developing desktop, mobile, and web applications, and being proficient in programming languages relevant to spatial data applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and interact with various spatial database systems.
  • Develop and design database strategies to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and tune database performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Plan and coordinate requirements for future database expansions.
  • Maintain robust security protocols to safeguard database integrity and confidentiality.
  • Develop desktop, mobile, and web applications that effectively utilize spatial data.
  • Manage and test backup and disaster recovery (DR) procedures to ensure data resilience.
  • Participate in issue analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause identification.
  • Maintain database integration and synchronization with other systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing databases (Oracle, SQL, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and data management best practices.
