About the Role

The Head of Technology Delivery - (Microservices & ODS) Unit is responsible for overseeing the transformation of business needs into effective applications and systems, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Policies, Processes & Procedures:
    Implements approved departmental policies, processes, procedures, and provides instructions to subordinates and monitors their adherence.
  • Day-to-day operations:
    Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the Solutions Delivery function.
  • Budget:
    Provides input for the development of departmental budget and monitors performance against approved levels.
  • Identification of Needs:
    Acts as the liaison between the assigned business areas and the BT operations.
  • Solutions Development:
    Ensures and provides guidance for the design of the applications required from business.
  • Solutions Delivery:
    Ensures that all systems/applications' malfunctions reported are resolved on time and accurately.
  • Direction of Subordinates:
    Organises and supervises the activities and work of a team of subordinates.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices.
  • Reporting:
    Prepares departmental reports of Riyad Bank timely and accurately.
  • Committees and Meetings:
    Represents the function and actively contributes in various committees/meetings.
  • People Management:
    Ensures all staff have clear objectives and regular performance feedback sessions.
  • Safety, Quality & Environment:
    Complies with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies.
  • Related Assignments:
    Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT engineering or equivalent preferably at a post-graduate level.
  • Minimum Experience: 8-10 years of relevant management experience in BT operations management within Banking environment.
  • Language: English: Advanced.

Required Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of banking BT systems and applications.
  • Very good knowledge of the banking operations and requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Significant experience in translating the business needs in BT systems and operations.
  • Very good knowledge of programming languages and operating systems relevant to the assigned business area, e.g. UNIX, SQL, Java, .NET, Visual Basic, etc.
