About the Role

We are seeking a
CNC Machining Project Engineer
to oversee the
procurement and project management of precision machined mechanical parts
. This role is central to ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of critical components that support our advanced engineering projects.

The ideal candidate has a
strong background in CNC machining processes
, understands tolerances and engineering drawings, and has successfully managed suppliers for
machined parts from RFQ through to Quality Control
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage
    end-to-end projects
    for precision-machined parts, from RFQ to supplier delivery.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor relationships.
  • Review and interpret
    2D engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
    to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on
    CNC machining methods (milling, turning, tooling)
    to ensure manufacturability.
  • Oversee
    quality control and inspection processes
    to guarantee compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate internally with design, procurement, and quality teams to meet project milestones.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering
    (or related field).
  • 5–10 years' experience
    in managing
    CNC machining / precision mechanical parts procurement projects
    .
  • Proven track record in
    supplier/vendor management, RFQs, purchasing, and project delivery
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    CNC machining processes, tolerances, GD&T, and material specifications
    .
  • Experience in
    quality control and inspection of machined components
    .
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Supplier management for
    machined components
    in industries such as
    energy, aerospace, automotive, or industrial equipment
    .
  • Familiarity with
    supply chain optimization and vendor qualification
    .
  • Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
