The OpportunityÂ
The Business Development Team Lead plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic and operational aspects of our business development activities. Â
Â
Working closely with the Business Development Manager, this position is essential for managing the sales pipeline across various industries and markets, coordinating the BD teamâs efforts, and overseeing the RFP process. Â
Â
The role involves a blend of strategic oversight and administrative support, ensuring the smooth execution of business development operations.Â
Â
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, proactive engagement, and effective communication abilities. They will manage essential administrative tasks relating to the submission of proposals, oversee the sales pipeline and ensure effective coordination within the team and with internal stakeholders. This role requires an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and can handle multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.Â

The role is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our business development strategies and processes, playing an integra part in the teamâs success. Â

Key responsibilities of the role include:Â
Â
Oversee and manage the regionâs sales pipeline, ensuring accurate records and timely updates. Gather input for pipeline management, coordinate with industry leads, and suggest improvements to increase efficiency.Â
Support the BD Manager in strategic responsibilities, including aligning business development activities with organizational goals and coordinating with partners and the BD support team.Â
Manages the BD support team (3 FTE) based in Riyadh, with line management responsibilities including performance management, cover, etc.Â
Coordinate with different industries on the end-to-end bidding cycle, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required tasks, from proposal submissions to contract finalization.Â
Ensure proposal submissions comply fully with the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, working closely with the BD Manager and other stakeholders to maintain adherence to guidelines.Â
Act as the focal point and escalation contact between the BD team and various stakeholders. Â
Oversee different market inboxes and distribution lists, sharing relevant information with the appropriate teams.Â
Assist with registering OW as a new vendor and ensure we are registered in client portals. Familiar with various client portals to support requests during the bid process, such as requesting extensions, scheduling meetings, download RFPâs and accessing documents.Â
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, compliance, knowledge services, marketing, Project Teams, HC and Operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the bidding process.Â
Provide critical administrative support, including document preparation, email monitoring, and dispatch. Ensure all business development activities, such as bid documents, bonds, contracts, and correspondence, are accurately recorded and up-to-date.Â
Assist with problem-solving during the tendering process and post-award phases, working with the BD admin team and Executive Assistants (EAs) to find effective solutions.Â
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in all interactions and tasks.Â
Proactively identify challenges and suggest improvements to minimize risks and dependencies, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of business development processes.Â
Â
Experience required:Â Â
Bachelorâs degree in business management, Administration or related field.Â
Minimum 2 years of team management experienceÂ
A Minimum of three yearsâ experience in a similar role, preferably within a management consulting firm in the regionÂ
Experience in Business and or sales operations, with a proven track record of managing and improving processes, preferably in a professional services environment. Â
Knowledge of the tender process and familiarity with Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements in the GCC regions required. Â

Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English are essential.Â
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Â
Project management skill is a plus.Â
