Purpose, key responsibilities, and scope of the role

  • Drive and execute State Streetâs Investment Services and Global Advisors strategy in Saudi Arabia by establishing, maintaining and growing strong local relationships and partnerships with clients and prospects, ensuring delivery of high quality service and maintenance and evolution of strong product solutions to clients as a foundation for future growth.
  • Act as CEO of State Streetâs (SSSAFS) CMA regulated legal entity which houses both the IS and GA business, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal expectations as set out by law and regulatory guidance and dialogue with all relevant stakeholders in the Kingdom.
  • Execute oversight of all State Street divisions in Saudi Arabia (including the CRD strategy/staff as part of the legal entity)), ensuring best practices are shared and observed, and that all entities meet legal entity and corporate governance standards
  • Manage the State Street country relationship with and play an active and effective advocacy role with the CMA, Ministry of Investment, Ministry of the Economy and Planning as well as with relevant stakeholders at the Royal Court,  public agencies and acting as the public face and voice of State Street in the market
  • Oversee the execution of the 5 year Strategic Plan of One State Street which includes to triple revenues in the next 5 years (end 2028) establish an Investment Center, locally domiciled ETFâs, Saudi Sub-Custody, Fund Administration and an optimized UCITS Fund environment/Infrastructure to compete over the mid/long term with established centers around the world.
  • Leverage established Network of both Private and Public Sector Relationships for the benefit of Vision 2030 and State Street as a Firm in Saudi playing a role in the Kingdomâs overall development.

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Execute a country-level strategy for State Streetâs IS & GA businesses in Saudi and cultivate a âOne State Streetâ culture across all groups
  • Act as local owner of services delivered by State Street in the Kingdom, working with functional leadership and global client executives and relationship managers as appropriate to ensure that our clients receive and experience an excellent and market-leading level of service, taking local ownership of significant client-related projects as appropriate (e.g. remediation program, new business acquisition and onboarding)
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with locally-based clients, management companies, Government and Government related entities as well as private Sectors Executives.
  • Working with Product, Sales and Relationship Management leadership, develop and actively manage a pipeline of new business prospects and cross-sells of new and emerging products and solutions to existing clients
  • Working with GA/CCO/Global Delivery leadership, ensure the Sausi team meet client service, operational risk management and local regulatory requirements and expectations, especially concerning outsourcing and any emerging issues signalled by the regulator
  • Contribute to and meet/where possible exceed sales and expense management financial targets
  • Drive employee engagement and related initiatives across all locations to attain corporate expectations and advocate for actions that enhance the employer value proposition including measures that enhance Inclusion, Diversity & Equity, as well as narrowing of the gender pay gap.
  • Act as CEO of State Street Saudi Arabia Financial Solutions, ensuring the entity is managed and governed in line with company law, Saudi regulatory standards (as applicable) and State Streetâs legal entity governance standards
  • Lead and chair as appropriate the Country Leadership team and relevant risk and legal entity committees
  • Represent State Street Saudi on regional and global committees and working groups as required
  • Oversee the corporate functions teams in Saudi â those supporting the underlying business contracted from Saudi Arabia and centers of excellence (e.g. cyber security center)
  • Ensure all Saudi legal entities adopt corporate governance and organizational standards commensurate with their size, complexity and regulatory rating
  • Drive and act as a role model for cultures and behaviors in Saudi Arabia consistent with enterprise standards
  • Develop and enhance through relevant dialogue and industry forums State Streetâs relationship with regulators and government/public policy makers and their agencies
  • Represent State Street in the business community and in industry organizations, ensuring our profile and reputation are enhanced
