The candidate is a self-starter, energetic and proactive, able to work independently and collaboratively to monetize a strong and growing portfolio of worldwide patent assets. The candidate must be comfortable in a role that requires him/her to work with different stake holders with different priorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering discipline, an advance degree (i.e. MS, Ph.D. or an MBA) is
  • 10+ years of combined experience in a minimum of three of the following functions: research, development, operations, business development, intellectual property management, intellectual property transactions, consulting and finance
  • Proven ability to assess IP and its impact, generate licensing opportunities, negotiate terms and execute agreements
  • Experience in complex licensing and sales transactions, preferably in Oil & Gas industry
  • Experience in marketing and communications campaigns, especially related to technology marketing
  • Experience in freedom to operate (FTO) analyses, developing evidence of use/ claim charts are .
  • Strong leadership, communication, research/analytical, organizational, creative and problem-solving skills

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop tailored monetization strategies to realize full value of our IP portfolio
  • Implement monetization strategies by
  • Developing a broad range of internal and external stakeholder relationships to build partnerships
  • Performing comprehensive due diligence to support technology transactions to maximize value and minimize risks

  • Voluntary Group Life and Accident Insurance: you may enroll in a voluntary program providing term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage equal to 12, 18, 24 or 30 times your monthly base salary. Favorable group rates keep the premium low.
  • Short-term : In the event you are unable to work due to illness or injury, short-term income benefits are provided. The benefit is 30 days full pay and 60 days at three-quarters pay, in any one year period.
  • Death Benefit: The company pays an ex-gratia death benefit equal to 24 months base pay if death is from an industrial accident and 12 months base pay if death is non-industrial related.
