Savvy Games Studios is looking for a Financial Business Partner who will act as a business partner to the studio.

Reporting to the VP Operations, you will be required to track and maintain records of the studios financial performance and make sound recommendations on opportunities and risks to optimize performance in alignment with Savvy Games Studios strategy.

You will guarantee the reliability, integrity and quality of financial data through expertise on Finance standards and practices.


You will also participate to the daily life of the finance process and organization, in direct communication with the external accounting team, supporting & production directors, and studio employees.


Responsibilities:

Accounting and Bookkeeping:

  • Accounting filing: organize all documents with dates, information, bank slips.
  • Ensure all accounting and finance documents are reported with the right legal information following internal procedures.
  • Prepare all documentations & bookings for external accountant on a weekly basis.
  • Coordinate the payment schedule & payments information.
  • Crosscheck the reimbursement submission monthly.
  • Ensure the monthly schedule is followed based on the accounting closing.
  • Submit the internal control report on monthly basis.

Studio financial planning:

  • Lead the monthly closing schedule following the Group schedule.
  • Validate purchase request based on approved budget and ensure the correct budget allocation for all the monthly spending.
  • Lead a timely and accurate MCR (monthly cost reporting) including:
  • Monthly employee timesheet
  • Activity costs
  • Monthly salary file accuracy
  • Prepare invoice for accountant.
- resource allocation, resource costs, activity costs etc.

  • Tracking budget v/s actuals of all projects
  • Monthly Reporting: Declaration of wages, time spent and activity costs on projects.
  • Review the monthly studio FS from accounting booking to ensure compliance and correctness.
  • Lead the quarterly & annual forecast submission following up HQ schedule.
  • Prepare the quarterly supporting department budgets actual reporting and forecast form.
  • Prepare the staffing plan and BP review with HR & Production director for HQ presentation.
  • Lead the review meeting with department heads and MD
  • Follow up budget update and information.
Actual & Forecast budget Reporting

  • Prepare monthly reports on projects spending & forecast update
  • Present analysis to the production teams & lead studios
  • Validate and control the contracts and payments directly related to projects
  • Prepare the monthly P&L of the studio with the correct projections. Build and update Games P&L for gates
  • Analyze and report variances
  • Postlaunch followup and optimization
  • Update all internal tools with regards to financial information and ensure consistency and accuracy of data
  • Create Budgets and form cost structures for all studio related costs including
  • Internal Staff costs, General Expenses, Activity Costs etc.
- prepare and present Business Planning Review to HQ

  • Take ownership of cost planning and budget maintenance
  • Prepare forecasts and maintain cash flow
Key Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Financial Planning processes, systems and tools.
  • Business acumen. Strong analytical skills.
  • Selfmotivation, good communication skills, team spirit, proactivity.
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Passion for the industry would be preferred
  • Continuous improve of the reporting process and workflow
  • Be able to support department head on budget related requests, and work with cross department
  • Work in closed relation with accountant to ensure compliance
  • Good understanding of Power BI or Tableau

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or master's degree with major in Finance/accounting or Major business school
  • Minimum 35 years working experiences, (game/IT industry is a plus)
  • International environment experience or abroad studies required
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, PCM, HFM, Microstategy, Hyperion system is a plus
  • Excellent Excel skill is required
