JOB PURPOSE


BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.

We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.


BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.


This role entails managing the prioritisation of all activities pertinent to supporting the Flying Programme, both tactically and strategically, effectively integrating all lines of Pt.145 and Pt.147 Capability (Supply, Maintenance, Quality, Technical Services and Training).


JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure maximum Fleet Availability through effective decision making, prioritisation and KPI management.
  • Act as a the Main Point of Contact (POC) for the Riyadh T21 Fleet liaising directly with HQRSAF, KFAA Base, MODSAP and BAE Systems personnel based in Riyadh and Overseas.
  • Maintain the integrity of all data outputs, reports and briefs that relate to the performance of the T21 fleet.
  • Manage the Fleet Operations Centre and ensure the toolsets provide a focal point displaying the status of the T21 Fleet is available for stakeholders.
  • Exercise oversight over all Operational tasks ensuring dependencies are effectively managed ensuring events are planned and executed in a timely fashion.
  • Evaluate Operational Performance data to identify opportunities to improve the performance of the T21 fleet.
  • Assist with technical and reliability studies to increase availability of assets and minimize repair cost.
  • Conduct cost benefit analysis for engineering customer specific modifications and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain oversight of any ongoing disciplinary actions, seeking resolution where possible.
  • Hold ownership and maintain tracking of any ongoing deferred defects of the T21 fleet. Use their knowledge and available resource to seek solutions to both technical issues and supply chain discrepancies.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

  • Qualifications: National civilian / military equivalent recognised aircraft, aerospace or technician traineeship / apprenticeship.
  • Have extensive post qualification practical maintenance experience OR exposure to a relevant management role.
  • Be able to work under their own initiative to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Working knowledge of Qpulse, SMS and thorough understanding of M&CA mandates and processes
  • Must demonstrate the required level of knowledge to understand and comply with company systems and standards in reference to reading Engineering drawings and Operational Standards.
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of the organisations Quality Management System in reference to identifying, understanding and the interpretation of processes and procedures relevant to the role.
  • Aircraft Safety and Cockpit Awareness training must be successfully completed to ensure that the incumbent is knowledgeable in all aspects of Aircraft Safety as defined in relevant Test Procedures and are the expected standards being practised in a live aircraft environment.
  • Must have and be able to demonstrate sound oral and written twoway communication skills with the ability to be tactful, discreet and confident in dealing with people at all levels.
  • Be able to work in close harmony in a mixed EE/SN workforce.
  • Must hold a current driving licence.
  • Computer literate with an understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
