The Director of Human Capital Management (HCM) is responsible for determining and providing leadership in developing, prioritizing, and executing human capital strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the company specifically in the areas of: talent management, employee engagement, employee orientation, change management, organizational and performance management, benefit administration, employee and labor relations, employee assistance, regulatory compliance, and wage and salary administration. The role provides strategic leadership by articulating Human Capital needs and plans to the executive management team, senior leaders, and to the Board of Directors. One of the primary purposes of the Director of HCM is to be a strategic partner who is responsible for strengthening the organization through the development of its people, structure, processes and practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serves as primary partner to the CEO and executive leadership team with influence and business acumen to address complex talent and business challenges. Conducts business and HCM briefings for senior leaders and Top Management.
- Counsels leaders on matters concerning development of their Divisions/Departments to enhance effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Participates and collaborates as an integral part of the leadership team. Develops and leads HCM projects that encompass all the company's locations. Participates in and promotes a collaborative team environment by working with the divisions across the enterprise.
- Leads and manages HCM staff members, providing guidance, direction, and coaching, assessing performance, providing timely feedback, and develop skills.
- Oversees all HCM programs, processes, and activities for the company and provides guidance and counsel to leaders and employees with regard to successful execution of all HCM programs, policies and procedures.
- Develops and coordinates effective Talent Management strategies to include workforce planning, succession planning, and knowledge transfer and talent acquisition.
- Collaborates with respective HCM staff on talent development and rotational opportunities.
- Develops, facilitates, communicates and implements pro-active Employee Relations strategies to resolve issues and complaints/investigations. Focuses on creating a positive employee and workplace environment through strong employee engagement and ensuring the company's values are upheld.
- Partners with senior leaders to develop, facilitate, manage and execute on organizational assessments, organizational design and change management efforts across the company.
- Oversees all Performance Development and Total Compensation Planning elements including training, tracking, analysis, and senior leadership reviews.
- Oversees targeted compensation reviews and job grading analysis.
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the company's Human Capital Management (HCM) function and performance.
- Responsible for the safety issues related to the job.
- Responsible for the confidentiality of information that they access to or came across during their work at the company.
- Responsible for complying with the hospital code of conduct and the patient and family rights standards.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Educational/Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource, Labor Relations, Business Management or a related field from a recognized college.
- Master's Degree in Human Resources is preferred.
- Proven experience partnering as a prime consultant and coach to senior leaders for an organization on highly-significant or confidential business
- Minimum of (14) years of experience in Human Resources or in a similar field.
