Medical Advisor

If yes, then you may be the one we are looking for as a Medical Advisor for Novo Nordisk Saudi Arabia.

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and reports directly to the Medical Manager.

The position


As a Medical Advisor, you will be covering the whole Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and you will be responsible to establish a scientific understanding of Novo Nordisk products and disease Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) areas in Saudi Arabia through providing quality medical and scientific support to clinicians and other healthcare professionals, engagement of KOLs and ensure medical knowledge for internal Novo Nordisk staff.

This role is very strategic within a complex therapy area of hepatology.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Contributing to medicomarketing strategies and providing support for local business plans to promote the achievement of targets, and alignment of crossfunctional business activities while ensuring compliance with countryspecific regulatory requirements and relevant legislation.
  • Providing quality medical and scientific support to key customers and across the business area functions.
  • Identifying, contacting, developing, and maintaining relations with key HCPs/opinion leaders and major institutions in the healthcare sector building local credibility personally and on behalf of Novo Nordisk
  • Ensure national/regional KOL and HCPs are aware of and understand the scientific basis for and clinical usefulness of NN compounds.
  • Providing highquality medical education and training of external customers (clinicians and HCPs and the Novo Nordisk staff).

Qualifications


We require you to have at least 2 years of experience in multinational pharmaceutical company in the medical affairs department is preferable.

You are action-oriented with a strong drive and focus on results, a team player who is customer-focused with good peer relationships, and an innovative thinker with strong project management skills.


Other important requirements are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine.
  • Postgraduate medical studies are desirable.
  • Experience in hepatology therapy area is a plus.
  • Strong Communication skills, Strong professionalism, and dedication.
  • Excellent command over both written and spoken English and Arabic.
