The Area Sales Manager is a key role within our Middle East and Africa region team, responsible for improving JCI's market position through strategic partnerships with existing distributors and new account openings. Based in Riyadh - Saudi Arabia, you will work closely with the sales team to analyze market trends, competitive matrices, product gaps, and market demands, proposing growth action plans for each channel in the territory.
Main Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include managing indirect sales channels, promoting business growth, and increasing sales opportunities by collaborating with sales teams, contractors, consultants, and end users. You will develop and deliver products demonstrations that meet technical and commercial requirements, build competitive sales strategies, support sales activities, and develop relationships and follow up new business opportunities with key partners and customers. Additionally, you will work independently to drive your territory growth, seeking and developing strong channel partner relationships, and managing multiple priorities simultaneously due to your excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
Required Skills
To succeed in this role, you must have a degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent, with at least 10 years of experience in indirect sales channels for ELV security products, specifically access control, CCTV systems, and intrusion systems. You should also have 5 years of experience setting up new channels and distributors in Saudi Arabia. Proficiency in developing and delivering new business and market growth, generating new business using existing and potential customer networks, and presenting concepts and articulating business values are essential. Furthermore, you should have an aptitude for developing, setting, and executing sales strategies and rolling sales plans, as well as fluency in English and Arabic languages, and the ability to travel.
