Team Leader - Operations
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for all operational activities & financial management (Supplier Invoice bookings & Client billing) of 1-2 key accounts of the branch.
  2. Work closely with the Branch Manager, Country Operations Manager & assigned team to ensure operational protocols and procedures are diligently followed by the entire operations team.
  3. Conduct regular weekly operational meetings to monitor work performance of individual employees.
  4. Act as the first point of contact for all operational activities' escalation from the Operations Supervisor.
  5. Handle all RFI regarding operational activities including duty exemption, refund process, customs activities, and permits.
  6. Ensure availability and participation in all client operational meetings and support sales, business development, and branch management meetings upon request.
  7. Verify RFQ responses from the operations team for existing clients as per company limits.
  8. Ensure compliance of all operational activities in the branch with QHSE directives and support QHSES initiatives.
  9. Support branch management for matters related to insurance claims.
  10. Assist Country Operations Manager for monthly file closing/reporting.
  11. Support finance and accounts team in payment follow-up and cash flow management when necessary.
  12. Ensure all company policies, routines, and standards are followed.
  13. Follow any lawful directions given by management.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. At least 7 years' experience (KSA Experience preferred).
  3. Experience in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to handle multiple workloads with changing priorities.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Familiarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  6. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and work instructions.
  7. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
  8. Ability to communicate well with customers.
  9. Ability to work under pressure.
  10. Client-driven and performance-driven.
  11. Detail-oriented and organized.
  12. Ability to handle projects individually and take ownership.
  13. Team-focused.
  14. Comply with all safe work practices and procedures set in place by deugro.
  15. Adhere to and enforce deugro QHSES Policy and Procedures.
  16. Work with due care to safeguard health and safety of self and others.
  17. Report incidents/accidents/near misses.
  18. Advanced knowledge of international logistics dynamics. Candidates with transferrable iqama preferred.
