Our client is a leading conglomerate of companies who currently seek to appoint a Sector CFO for their Building Products Division of companies which incorporates over 9 manufacturing companies. This newly created role has occurred due to a corporate restructure globally and the key function of this role is to financially control and manage the financial functions of a group of "like" companies and streamline their respective financial performance and processes plus restructure balance sheets and provide strategic financial advisory to the group of companies.

Reporting to the Sector CEO, the proven performer we seek will be responsible for the following:

  1. Development and successful implementation of internal control procedures, financial policies, internal audit systems, management reporting systems across the group of companies.
  2. Direct, lead and performance manage the financials of the group including the management of a multi-cultural finance and accounting team.
  3. Strategic financial modelling, budgeting, valuations, due diligence and financial/business advisory across the group including mergers and acquisitions.
  4. Debt resourcing and restructuring and to be familiar with various banking financial facilities and structures.
  5. Working capital management, cost reductions and restructuring exercises.
  6. Management of the accounting and financial day-to-day activities including statutory audits and compliance.
  7. Preparation and presentation of Group consolidated reports at Board level.
  8. Ensure compliance with statutory and budgetary reporting requirements.
  9. Ensure record systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
  10. Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.

The attributes we seek for this pivotal role include:

  1. Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Commerce with a minimum of 18+ years' experience in the manufacturing sector with Holding Group experience being highly regarded. Masters qualification will be highly regarded.
  2. Candidates must possess at least 2 years' experience in the GCC markets with public company experience being highly desirable.
  3. Experience in working across multiple companies concurrently is essential.
  4. Candidates must have significant experience in liaison and negotiation with Banks globally specifically relative to restructuring of balance sheets.
  5. The ability to work across various levels of management and within a multi-cultural environment is essential.
  6. Displaying superior leadership skills, the exceptional communicator must have superior commercial acumen and display high levels of professionalism.
  7. Bilingual language skills in English and Arabic (written and verbal) are required.
